(Taken from 'The Cimarron Valley Clipper'
Vol. 19, No. 23, Thursday, Oct. 23, 1919)
Miss Pearl Fansler died at the home of her sister, Mrs. E.A. Ferguson,
at Oklahoma City, Sunday morning at 4:30. Funerals services were held at
the Baptist church in Coyle Tuesday, conducted by Rev. Mansfield of the
First Baptist church of Oklahoma City, after which interment was made in
Coyle cemetery.
Pearl had been a patient sufferer for several years, being afflicted with
fibroid tumors, which finally developed into numerous cancers. During these
years there was times when her suffering was almost unbearable, yet there
never was a time when she did not meet he misfortune bravely and with wonderful
patience. While frail in body, we never before saw the courage she possessed.
On the 28th of last month she was taken to Oklahoma City where the best
medical aide in the state was secured but nothing could be done except to
relieve her sufferings as much as possible. The end came peacefully and
she was ready and willing to go.
The deceased leaves to mourn her loss a mother, two sisters, two half brothers,
aunts, uncles, cousins and other relatives besides a host of friends whose
sympathy was gratefully received by he family.
Mrs. E.J. Garner and J.F. are here this week from Whichita, being called
here by the illness and death of Pearl Fansler.
The family wish to thank the good people of Coyle for the assistance rendered
and kind sympathy extended at the death and burial of Pearl Fansler.
